Emma and I snuck in a little time at the park today after Emma was done distance learning and Olivia was still at school... and yes, Emma is in her pajamas. Emma has been asking just about every day if I can take them to a new park. After we

First day of in person learning for Emma since March. She was so excited to get on the bus, go to school, see her friends and get to know her new teacher. I can't wait to hear how her first day back went.

Today was Olivia's turn! It is her last year of preschool. I have no idea why she still insists on doing the pirate smile. I had to trick her just to get one photo with both eyes open (above). Also... she was very determined to wear this outfit

Here we go! Today is Emma's first day of second grade. Her school is doing hybrid learning, so Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays she is doing distance learning at home. Tuesday and Friday she'll be doing in person learning at school. Emma's desk at home.

Emma had her second (of 4) cross country meets this morning. It was chilly and wet, but the race must go on.

Our last monarch hatched today. This one we got by accident from an egg on the milkweed plant we picked to feed our other caterpillars. Monarchs usually fly away pretty fast, so the girls don't always get to hold them. This one took its sweet time.
