say what?
At Emma’s doctor appointment the other day he asked me if she was saying any words. It got me thinking about all the words she says. This girl pretty much talks non-stop, even in her sleep. She can very clearly say dada, mama, hi, bye, eye, yes, hot and hat. Then she says a bunch of words that only Braden and I would understand….
- pa ( plane, park or phone )
- ba ( ball or balloon )
- bay ( baby )
- tuh ( truck )
- chuh ( chair )
- jush ( juice )
- chesh ( cheese )
- pi ( fire )
- gah ( glasses )
- papa ( iPad )
- puh ( p.u., as in stinky )
- bayee ( belly button )
- ha ( honk )
- tresh ( trash )
- atch ( ouch )
She can also identify a whole slew of animals using animal sounds – elephant, monkey ( my personal favorite ), dog, duck, bear, sheep, snake, goose, bird, lion and cow. This almost always makes someone laugh when we go to the zoo. Especially when she’s making the monkey sound while watching the monkeys.
