rudder cut cay, bahamas
Our next stop was Rudder Cut Cay. There were a couple things we wanted to see here, and we managed to get them all done in one day. First - the cave. It isn't a huge cave, but it was cool to pull our dinghy up on the sand and walk around inside.
Second - the musician mermaid. This full size statue of a mermaid and a baby grand piano was hidden underwater by David Copperfield in 2011.
Third - the sandbars. It is impossible to capture how amazing the water is in pictures. At just about every island in the Exumas you can find an exposed sandbar at low tide.
While my favorite beach treasure is sea glass, Emma's favorite is sand dollars. The sandbars had lots of them.
We didn't see many sharks thoughout the Eastern Caribbean islands, but in the Bahamas we see at least one a day.
Since we checked everything off he list in one day, the next morning we headed to the next island. On our way we passed Musha Cay. This is David Copperfield's private island that you can rent for a 5 day minimum at $57,000 a night.
