pipe cay and compass cay, bahamas

After spending a week in Staniel Cay we decided to take a little trip to the next island to explore for a few days. The morning we were leaving the water was so calm you could barely tell where the water ended and the sky started.

Our spot for the next couple days would be Pipe Cay. Pipe Cay is a private island surrounded by sandbars. We spent a couple days exploring the sandbars and hanging out with friends.

Emma has been waiting months for this stop. Compass Cay has a resort and marina where you can get in the water with the nurse sharks. Swimming with sharks has been the thing she was most excited about doing in the Bahamas.

That face (again)...❤️

Our next place to visit in Compass Cay was Rachel's Bubble Bath. The bubble bath is a lagoon that is separated from the ocean by a low rock wall. When the waves crash in they make bubbles in the lagoon.

We left Pipe Cay and headed back to Staniel Cay for a couple days to wait out some weather that was coming. We got back just in time for the lightning show. Not a great feeling when you're in a boat with a 60'+ mast in the water. All was good when it was finally over.
