mythbusters

We’ve done quite a few experiments since Emma was born. From trying to get rid of hiccups to getting poop stains out of clothes. Here’s what works and what doesn’t…

HICCUPS

  • Take her outside, then bring her back in. The change in air temperature will make the hiccups go away. – BUSTED
  • Blow in her face. – BUSTED
  • Milk… it does a body good. – CONFIRMED
  • Cuban hiccup remedy: Take a thread from her clothes, put spit on it and put it on her forehead. ( Yes this is apparently a real thing, and yes I tried it… twice. Maybe my spit is no good? ) – BUSTED

CRYING IN THE CAR

  • Crack the back window to make white noise. This was a lifesaver on the way home from Orlando. At first she was mesmerized by the noise, then she fell asleep. – CONFIRMED

POOP STAINS

  • Wash the clothing, then put it out in the sun to dry. I really did not think this would work, but it totally did! There was still a huge poop stain after it was washed. A little drying in the sun and it was gone. I was able to salvage the outfit from the poopsplosion of 2013. I even have the before and after photos as proof. – <span style="color: #008000;"Screen Shot 2013-10-16 at 4.53.29 PM4.53.29-PM-1024x645.png)](/content/images/2013/10/Screen-Shot-2013-10-16-at-4.53.29-PM.png)
