We've been waiting for this monarch to make an appearance. Its the first one we've had all they way from an egg to a butterfly.

Yesterday morning I told the girls it would probably be out by the end of the day. We went to a park for an hour and came back to a butterfly.

This morning we released him. They usually fly away really fast so I can never get a picture. This guy ended up landing on both girls before flying away.

I keep telling the girls no more caterpillars, but somehow we always end up with more. We're down to (hopefully) our last 2 for this summer.
