kitchen remodel: update

Today was a flurry of activity in the kitchen…

The counter guy came out to make templates for our granite. I was interested to see how he was going to do this. I was somewhat expecting the cool lasers with the dots that they use on all the DIY and Kitchen Crasher shows. Nope. Straight old school. He hot glued thin wood planks together in the shape of our countertops.

I never really got a picture of anyone in action, but today with three guys trying to work in the same space I couldn’t resist. The counter guy was definitely efficient and had no problems pushing the cabinet guys out of the way. He was in and out of here with drawings and wood templates in 20 minutes.
