happy new year!

We celebrated New Year's Eve by sledding for the first time this winter. Olivia isn't a fan of cold weather or sledding, so she got lucky that Braden was home and she didn't have to go.

I didn't know this hill existed right by our house until Emma did cross country. I'm pretty sure sledding down the hill is much more fun than the running up the hill she had to do for cross country practice.

You can't go sledding without having hot chocolate! Look at those rosy red cheeks!

All day Emma had been asking if they could stay up until midnight. I don't remember the last New Year's Eve that Braden and I stayed up until midnight.... but we did it!

To celebrate the new year we had a family sleepover in the basement fort.
