e-learning day

I knew that there was freezing rain forecast last night. What I didn't know was that I would get a text at 5:00 AM saying school was delayed 2 hours followed by a text at 7:00 AM saying school was cancelled.

After the school district invested all this money into distance learning during covid they decided that kids would only be given 2 free snow days. After that if school is cancelled it becomes an e-learning day. Dumb. I miss the good old days when a snow day was just a snow day. I think when Emma was in 1st grade she had 6 or 7 in a row. Alas... today was an e-learning day. The girls put up a little bit of a fight in the beginning, but ended up doing all their assignments first thing this morning.

After school work was done Emma spent most of the day with Pancake.

For Christmas Emma got a bunch of bracelets that she could use to make snake shed jewelry. Last night she took Pancakes first shed and made a bunch with Olivia.

Today they checked they were all glued and cleaned up. They made some for us and the rest for friends, teachers and family. ❤
