In 1st grade the kids learn about Chinese New Year. They end their lesson by making a dragon for the Chinese New Year parade through the school. They all got to pick 3 jobs they would like to do for the parade - head, body, dragon tamer, banner holder (Emma was a banner holder), puppet or instruments. Olivia chose the head, banner or body, but she REALLY wanted was the head. It probably didn't hurt that her mom painted that head when I was volunteering for her teacher a couple weeks ago....

Braden has been out of town and Olivia has been pretty sad about it the last couple days. She didn't know that he would be back in time for the parade, so she was pretty excited to see him.
