bequia
New island for us today - Bequia - an island in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. We visited St. Vincent and the Grenadines in May, but not any of the islands this far north.
Our goal for this week is to island hop our way up to Martinique, so we only plan to stay one night in Bequia, one night in St. Lucia and then on to Martinique. We made the most of our one afternoon - walked around town, shopped in the local boutiques, walked the boardwalk and had dinner. Emma really wanted to get to the beach before dark, so her and Braden skipped most of the boardwalk and took the dinghy straight to the beach.
Olivia and I walked the whole thing. There were some pretty cool views, and a set of really steep stairs.
Fun fact for Austin - Bequia (pronounced Beck-Way) comes from the Carib word that means "Island of the Clouds".
