around the house
Sadly, the bird nest is no more. Braden texted me this photo of a female cowbird in the nest. Fun fact - female cowbirds lay their eggs in other bird's nests. First they knock one of the eggs out, then they damage one or more of the other eggs, then they lay their own egg in the nest. How do I know these things? Olivia told me. Not only does she know a lot about nutmeg... she also knows a lot about birds in Minnesota.
The last thing I wanted was another egg in an abandoned nest, so we took it down.
The one thing Olivia didn't know was how to ride her bike. Actually, she knew how to. She just refused to try. It would be so nice this summer to all bike ride when we're camping, so our summer goal was to get Olivia riding her bike. It only took a day and she was riding around the block no problem.
Speaking of camping... road tripping plans are in full swing! Any guesses where we might be going....?
