annapolis

Every year there is a huge boat show in Annapolis, MD. Braden has been talking about going for months, but Emma was the only other person that wanted to go. In the end we decided last minute to pair it with a trip to DC and a visit to see family in Pittsburgh, so we all made the trip.

Since it was last minute we opted for a traditional road trip in my van instead of the bus. That meant a lot more stops and hotel stays.

for some reason Emma was really excited to stop at a 7Eleven

Of course it's not a road trip unless we're playing the license plate game. We were all very excited to see a Delaware license plate! If you followed our trip last summer and read our recap you may remember we spent 2 months driving 6,000+ miles through 13 states and never saw a Delaware license plate.

It has been a busy couple days with lots of walking and lots of talking. We checked out a bunch of boats for ideas, we bought some new stuff for the boat, we ran into people we know from our time on the boat and we met some famous YouTubers.

In just about every place we stopped on the boat the boat families would gather at a nearby park every afternoon so the kids could all hang out. So... in true boat family fashion we also made time to meet a bunch of other boating families at the local park in the afternoon. It was fun to see the girls make new friends and hang out with old ones we met along the way.
