A little creativity and duct tape can go a long way...

It all started a couple months ago…

Braden tried and tried to convince me it was time to get new speakers in the living room. Ours were probably 30 years old and would cut out every once in a while. Finally I agreed, with the promise that I would not have to step over wires running from the TV to the back of the room for months.

Fast forward 3 months to last weekend.  After several failed attempts to run speaker wire to the current speaker locations, we decided to take a break and work on it another day. We were at least able to get speaker wire from the attic to outside, but couldn't get it back in to where we wanted it. As we were looking at it yesterday, Braden came up with a brilliant idea to use PVC pipe to get the wire back inside.

To make a long story short…. PVC pipe, a curtain rod, a hanger, some duct tape and a little creativity can wire your whole house. I do have to take credit for the hanger duct taped to the curtain rod, which by the way, Braden told me would never work.

We still have some work to do, but luckily the hardest is out of the way. It was so nice this morning to walk into the kitchen without knocking the speaker to the floor. If you want to check out all the fun we had, I uploaded the pictures to our Townhouse album.
